Although I didn’t realize it at the time, my first foray into the Quality Lab area was aboard the USS Kitty Hawk nearly 30 years ago inspecting JP-5 jet fuel samples for water, sediment, and flash point. From there my career has evolved beginning with working in a machine shop building racing engines in college, Quality Engineer for DOD manufacturing of large vehicles for the Airforce, the automotive industry, and some construction endeavors. I’ve worked in various capacities as a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Program Manager/Project Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Sales & Purchasing Manager, and lastly a Solution Consultant for Quality Management systems and Industry 4.0 software initiatives with Global companies.
My first plantwide SPC system installation was performed in 1999, and I’ve since lost count of how many data collection systems and gages I’ve been involved with over the years. My work has taken me all over the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe and Asia.
I have hands on knowledge of machining, stamping, injection molding, electrocoating (paint), interior/exterior paint (auto), welding, riveting, fastening and various other manufacturing techniques that I’ve probably forgotten over the years.
